S Ravichandran is an interdisciplinary person with an academic background in environmental science and professional experience of working in a multi-disciplinary faculty department of a University. He has 3 decades of research and teaching experience in water quality, environmental impact assessment, water and ecosystems, research methodology for undergraduate / graduate students in an engineering institution. He has made national international publications, guided students for M E and Ph D degrees and conducted training workshops for field engineers. He has conducted environmental investigations in more than 10 river basins of Tamil Nadu and served as environmental consultant for international agencies. He has also conducted field research and contributed to the development of integrated water resources development ideas.
His current interests are in groundwater quality and spatial interpretation and dissemination of water quality information.
